Wingshooting is a challenging activity charged with adrenaline.
In Namibia, the bird hunting season runs from May through to the end of November but the best time for bird hunting is from July to October when most of the water in the veld has dried up. During this dry season, birds will congregate at points where consistent water is available.
There is a large variety of species to select from including, but not limited to, the Laughing Dove, Cape Turtle Dove, Namaqua Sandgrouse, Double Banded Sandgrouse, Burchell Sandgrouse, Helmeted Guineafowl, Red-billed Francolin, Kurrichane Buttonquail.
Even a skilled hunter will be challenged by the speed, agility and sheer numbers of birds that flock to the waterholes.
An unmissable experience filled with adrenaline pumping moments, it is highly recommended to include wingshooting in any African plains game package.
